With a degree in economics and a background in publishing, Valentina Giammarco has turned her passion for vintage and accessories into her own brand, The Beatriz. The passion for opera and French know-how have always been part of the designer’s life. Their perfect expression comes in an accessory designed to accompany those who choose it on special occasions and in everyday life. The creative wanted to create a timeless object, a harmonious synthesis of her instincts for beauty and good taste. She founded The Beatriz in 2019 to make unique, handmade, limited-edition accessories that may accompany women on every occasion, from the most elegant ones to day-to-day activities.

CONCEPT

The psychedelic style of the ’60s and ’70s, bright colours and eccentric traits create the backdrop for the new SS22 collection by The Beatriz. The sophisticated and timeless allure accompanies designer Valentina Gianmarco in the creation of couture headbands with fluid and light lines, a perfect accessory for all occasions, whether elegant or more everyday. The shapes bring to mind architectural volutes, suspended bridges and barrel vaults, revived by the unconventional use of couture materials such as tulle and crinoline. The colour palette is a mix of pastel shades in conjunction with bolder fluorescent tones, semiotically taking us into the eccentric and unique mood of those years. Vertigine, Fuggevole, Miraggio and Rêverie are confirmed as the iconic models of the brand. These elegant headbands, all handcrafted, have dynamic and changing shapes which define the character of a refined, dynamic and contemporary woman.
