Everything started with Simona Nicolosi’s deep passion for jewelry that
she inherited from her father and that she has always nurtured at a
personal level. After attending a course in « Jewelry design » at the
Milan Polidesign, she worked in the creative department of Damiani
Group where she learnt how to conceive and pattern luxury jewels.
Always immersed in and inspired by the glamour of Milan, capital of the
Italian style, Simona Nicolosi launched her first collection of costume
jewels in September 2013.
May mOma now has loyal retailers like Kadewe, Yoox, Joyce and tens of
boutiques in the most important capitals of the world united by the
passion for authentic « made in Italy ». The major market of may moma
in 2019 is China.
May mOma jewels have graced the pages of Vogue, Elle, Vanity Fair and
many other headlines and online sites.
In 2014, 2015 and 2016 may mOma creations were selected to
participate to the Swarovski World Jewelry Facets: a creative platform,
born from the collaboration with the famous Austrian brand, where the
best contemporary fashion jewelry designers present their products.
Simona Nicolosi creates custom private-label pieces for Italian and
foreign apparel brands. She also designs unique pieces for jewelry
Clara’s gourmet à la mode concept, her love for vintage, the elegance and class of the past, her balanced shapes, rigourous lines and her constant Art Deco inspiration combine to create a collection whose curved lines and gold finishes are reminiscent of the voluptuous carapace of the lobster, an enigmatic and seductive symbol that has inspired fashion and art on numerous occasions in the 20th century. The LOBSTER collection is a capsule collection that can be worn from day to night – conversation pieces that don’t go unnoticed and add a touch of elegance to a variety of looks.
